Privacy Policy

All Documents Reader · Effective July 5, 2026 · Last updated July 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how RisingInc (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the All Documents Reader mobile application (the “App”). Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Summary at a Glance

  • We do not require you to create an account or provide personal identifiers to use the App.
  • Your documents remain on your device except when you explicitly use the AI Document Summarizer, which sends the text content of the document you choose to OpenAI for processing.
  • The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob and uses Google Firebase for analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, and push notifications.
  • Subscription payments are processed by Google Play Billing; we never see or store your payment details.
  • You can revoke storage and camera permissions from your device settings at any time.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

The App does not have a user account system and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or other personal identifiers. The following are the only situations in which you actively provide data:

  • Documents you open or import. You select files (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and similar) from your device. These files are read locally to display, annotate, convert, compress, or split them. They are not uploaded to our servers.
  • Content sent to AI Document Summarizer. If you use the AI Summarizer feature, the extracted text of the document you select is sent to OpenAI’s API for the sole purpose of generating a summary or answering follow-up questions. See Section 4.4 for details.
  • Photos captured with the Document Scanner and QR Scanner. Camera captures are processed locally on your device (using Google ML Kit) and are never transmitted to us.
  • OpenAI API key (optional). If you choose to provide your own OpenAI API key in the AI Summarizer settings, it is stored only in the App’s private local storage on your device and is never transmitted to us.
  • Screen-lock PIN (optional). If you enable the App’s security lock, your PIN is stored locally in encrypted app storage and is never transmitted.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, certain information is collected automatically by us and by our third-party service providers:

  • Device and technical information: device model, operating system version, screen resolution, language, time zone, and app version.
  • Advertising identifier: Google Advertising ID (AAID) used by AdMob to serve and measure advertisements. You can reset or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.
  • App usage events: which features you use (e.g., open a PDF, run a compression, tap a subscription plan), how often, and general performance metrics. Firebase Analytics collects this information in an aggregated, non-identifiable form.
  • Crash and diagnostic data: if the App crashes, Firebase Crashlytics may collect stack traces, device state, and a randomly generated installation identifier to help us diagnose issues.
  • Push notification token: a Firebase Cloud Messaging token used only if we send notifications to your device.
  • Subscription status: whether you have an active subscription and which plan (Starter, Professional, or Ultimate). This is stored locally on your device and verified via Google Play Billing.
  • Daily usage counters: for premium features with daily limits (OCR Scanner, AI Summarizer), a per-day counter is stored locally on your device. This counter is not transmitted to us.

3. How We Use Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App’s features.
  • Display advertising to users who do not have an active premium subscription.
  • Understand how features are used so we can prioritize improvements.
  • Diagnose crashes and technical issues.
  • Deliver optional push notifications about product updates or offers.
  • Verify subscription status and enforce plan-specific daily quotas.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they process data.

4.1 Google AdMob (Advertising)

We show banner, native, interstitial, rewarded, and app-open ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your Advertising ID, IP address, and general device information to serve relevant ads. Premium subscribers do not see ads.

Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

4.2 Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, Cloud Messaging)

Firebase collects app usage events, crash reports, and delivers remote configuration values and push notifications. Firebase Analytics uses a Firebase Installation ID that is not linked to your personal identity.

Policy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

4.3 Google Play Billing

Subscription purchases are handled by Google Play Billing. We do not receive, store, or process your credit card, bank account, or other payment information.

Policy: https://play.google.com/intl/en-US_us/about/play-terms/index.html

4.4 OpenAI (AI Document Summarizer only)

Important: When you use the AI Summarizer feature, the extracted text of the document you selected is transmitted to OpenAI’s API endpoints over HTTPS. OpenAI processes this text to generate a summary or answer questions and returns the result to the App. We do not store this text on our own servers, but OpenAI’s handling of the transmitted data is governed by OpenAI’s privacy policy and API data-usage policy.

Do not use the AI Summarizer with documents that contain sensitive personal information, financial account numbers, or other data you would not want processed by a third-party AI service.

Policy: https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy

4.5 Google ML Kit (on-device only)

OCR (text-from-image extraction) and barcode/QR-code scanning use Google ML Kit’s on-device APIs. Image data processed by these APIs stays on your device and is not transmitted to Google or to us.

Policy: https://developers.google.com/ml-kit/terms

5. Permissions the App Requests

  • Storage / Files & Media: to open, save, and export documents you select. The App does not scan your storage without your action.
  • Camera: only when you use the Document Scanner or QR Scanner. Camera frames are processed on-device.
  • Internet: to load advertisements, fetch remote configuration, communicate with OpenAI when you use the AI Summarizer, and process subscription purchases.
  • Notifications: to deliver optional push notifications. You can disable these in your device settings.

You can revoke any permission from your device’s app settings at any time. Some features will stop working without the required permission.

6. Data Storage and Retention

  • Files, annotations, exports, and history: stored in the App’s private storage on your device. Uninstalling the App removes them.
  • Preferences, subscription status, coins, trial flags, and daily usage counters: stored in SharedPreferences on your device. These are removed when the App is uninstalled or when you clear the App’s data.
  • Analytics and crash data: retained by Firebase according to Google’s retention settings (typically 14 to 26 months for Analytics events).
  • OpenAI request data: retained per OpenAI’s data-retention policy. We do not store the text you send.

7. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • With the third-party service providers listed in Section 4, strictly to operate the App’s features.
  • When required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process.
  • To protect the security, rights, or property of RisingInc, our users, or the public.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will provide notice through the App or by other reasonable means.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your Rights and Choices

  • Ads: You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads on Android).
  • Analytics: You can disable analytics collection by clearing the App’s data and disabling network access for the App.
  • Notifications: You can disable push notifications in your device’s app settings.
  • Local data: You can delete all data associated with the App by uninstalling it or clearing its storage from device settings.
  • Subscription: You can view or cancel your subscription at any time via Google Play (Play Store → Menu → Payments & subscriptions).
  • Access, correction, deletion (GDPR / CCPA): Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and California have additional rights, including the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12.

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information handled by the App, including HTTPS for all network communication and standard Android platform protections for on-device storage. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100 % secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International Data Transfers

The third-party services listed in Section 4 may process data in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. By using the App, you understand that data may be transferred to and processed in such countries in accordance with those providers’ terms.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or in applicable law. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the App after any change indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
